About Lab Grown Diamonds
Lab Diamonds are optically, chemically, & physically, identical to natural diamonds.
The difference between the two resides in their origin.

How the Magic Happens
Lab grown diamonds are created by subjecting the carbon seeds of a preexistent diamond to the same conditions that cause natural diamonds to form underneath the Earth’s crust. Just like natural diamonds, lab diamonds consist of carbon atoms arranged in the same chemical structure.
Two Methods to Create LabGrown Diamonds
- Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD): A seed diamond is sealed in a vacuum chamber with hot hydrogen and carbon gasses. Layers of crystalized carbon then surround the seed and allow it to grow into a full-size diamond. CVD is the best method for the highest quality stones.
- High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT): Carbon material is crushed
under extreme pressure while at temperatures between 1300 – 1600 degrees
Celsius.
These processes take 6-10 weeks to yield a “rough” diamond. The “rough” diamond then needs to be cut and polished to reveal its spectacular opulence.
